Constructed of steel, stone and glass, PNC Park is adorned with mountain laurels, Pennsylvania's state flower, which are planted just beyond center field. The facility measures two-tiers in height, with a continuous lower grandstand. A 400-seat Field Club is located directly behind home plate. Sixty-nine suites are located on a separate level just above the lower grandstand, and 2,500 club seats overlook the facility's close-to-the-field second tier.

Fan amenities include party suites, glassed-in lounges, a picnic area and party decks, which also provide excellent views of the field and easy access for wheelchair patrons. The Budweiser Bowtie Bar, which opened for the 2012 season, is a new bar and lounge area. It overlooks right-field and has seven HD TVs and an expanded covered patio.

Independent Investigation as to the PNC Sidewalk Project

  • After the SEA’s April Board meeting, the Board engaged Dentons Cohen & Grigsby (“Dentons”) to conduct an independent investigation relating to the PNC Park sidewalk project and the disposition of the “Bucco Bricks.”
  • Anthony Cillo, Esq., of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby conducted the investigation and provided a report to the Board as of May 8, 2025.
  • The investigation concluded that neither the SEA nor any of its contractors were responsible for the disposal of the Bucco Bricks, that the SEA played no role in their disposal, and that no public funds were used for the bricks’ disposal.  Instead, the SEA required, through its design and construction contracts, that special care be taken to salvage the Bucco Bricks and deliver them to the Pirates.  As commemorative pavers were removed, they were placed on pallets by year, the pallets were shrink-wrapped to protect the bricks, and the pallets were made available to the Pirates, which then took possession of them.
  • It was the Pirates, not the SEA or any of its contractors, that made the decision to dispose of the Bucco Bricks. The Pirates engaged a local hauling and recycling company to pick up, transport, and dispose of the pavers at a recycling facility.  The total cost of the removal, transport, and disposal was invoiced to and paid by the Pirates. No project funds, public or otherwise, were used for the disposal of the bricks.
  • The entire report is being provided for the public to review here.
