Staff Accountant

The SEA is now accepting applications for a Staff Accountant.

Position summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the on-going accounting operations and maintenance of internal controls procedures.  Specifically, the position will focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as special projects and analysis for the Authority’s construction, parking and operating accounts.  This position will provide overall support for the Authority’s Finance Department.  The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Controller and accepts assignments from the Chief Financial Officer.

The position of Staff Accountant requires a Degree in Accounting or business, with 2-3 years of related accounting experience preferred.  Requires strong knowledge of computer software (especially excel), and accounting software (preferable Accufund).

CFO
The SEA is now accepting applications for a Chief Financial Officer.                  

SUMMARY:  Position responsible for planning, directing and controlling the financial activities of the Sports & Exhibition Authority (SEA) and Stadium Authority (SA) (the Authorities) as well as Information Technology, Human Resources and Office Management. Employs a thorough knowledge of public finance, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and to ensure the responsible fiscal stewardship of the organization. 


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration is required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly recommended. Five years of progressive work experience in the areas of non-profit or governmental finance with five years of management level experience required.
