Overview

On December 16, 2004 the SEA Board approved a contract with LaQuatra Bonci Associates for design of the Convention Center Riverfront Park. Preliminary design is approximately 80% complete at this time. LaQuatra Bonci is currently performing geotechnical drilling and engineering work. A preliminary design is expected to be submitted for review in the first quarter of 2008. Please click here for preliminary drawings.

The final design phase is anticipated to take up to six months. A full construction season (approximately 8 months) will be necessary to complete the park.

The Convention Center Riverfront Park is supported by grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Federal Highway Administration. The SEA is currently working to raise additional funds for construction.
