Features

The parking structure is a 642-car five-story parking garage and is designed by Graves Architects, Inc. The parking garage can be entered and exited from Centre Avenue on the north at the fourth level of the garage or two entrances from Colwell Street on the south end of the garage. The garage will connect to the arena for the use of suite and club seat holders during events. The garage will be used for commuter parking during the work day. The fifth level of the garage will serve a new hotel on Centre Avenue with a dedicated vehicular access from Centre Avenue.

This parking structure is being built by the SEA. The construction is funded by a 30-year revenue bond, which is backed, in part, by an annual payment from the Penguins. Any construction cost overruns are the responsibility of the SEA. Horizon Properties is responsible for the cost of the fifth deck.

A General Construction contract was awarded to P.J. Dick - L.S. Brinker, a joint venture, on March 5, 2009. The garage will be completed when the new Consol Energy Center is ready to be used.

A site plan of the garage in relation to the arena can be found in the Master Plan.
